Graphing Data

Today I analyzed the results from the experiment I conducted. In order to create a graph, I look at the rate of oxygen consumption for the cells and plotted the values over a course of specific time periods. The different peaks represented first what the cell normally acted like, then the Oligomycin showed what was inhibited and how that decreased ATP production, the the FCCP measured the maximum mitochondrial respiration, and lastly the Antimycin. would shut down the system. The y axis was the mitochondrial respiration OCR in pmol/min, and the x axis represented time in minutes. Series 1 represents the control and Series 2 represents the experiment.

In comparison to the sample model provided, at time=3-4 minutes, the peaks should decrease instead of increasing. This discrepancy could be due to accidentally mixing Oligomycin with FCCP.

The next step is this same process of analyzing the data with the second set of results from my second trial.
